Black History Month

This month Februrary is Black History Month. Black History Month is a time to celebrate the events and rich history of African Americans. First starting as only a week long in 1926 and then later becoming a national holiday in 1976. Black History Month has since also been celebrated in numerous other countries such as Canada and the United Kingdom. To celebrate Black History Month, ASB will be posting weekly short info cards on notable African Americans and what they have accomplished.
